MP sprint (07.06.2014)

It was my first big goal of the season. I really wanted to get the gold. Unfortunately, I must have been a bit too scared of making a crucial mistake and started incredibly slow and calm, losing 7 and 4 seconds to the first 2 controls. I just lacked my normal sprint 'claw'. However, I managed to gain it back quite quickly and the speed was OK from there on. The day before I still analysed the terrain with the help of google maps and ran by memory to the 10th control. This memory didn't help me this time and I lost 16sec, choosing the wrong alley at the beginning of the leg. Then, just a little longer route choice to the 14th one (about 2secs) and at the end I really had the power to push to the maximum. Rino was simply better that day and I had to be satisfied with silver!

2nd, 0:19 behind B. Pawlak and 0:16 ahead of W. Dwojak.
