WOC sprint final (05.07.2014)

After I ate my pasta for lunch, we travelled by a boat for about one hour to reach the quarantine for this race, which we reached at about 13:30, so I had still plenty of time to my start (16:58). I decided to go to sleep and asked Kajo to wake me up at 15:00. Then, I slowly began to prepare for this amazing experience. I had quite a lot of thoughts about how it would go, but I managed them really well and was just focused on my sprint technique.
The race itself went completely as planned. I chose the right routes (could have been only 6m shorter if I had picked the rightmost alternative to the 3rd control). I tried pushing it to the limit, which was absolutely essential after the map change and the arena passage, where my legs got so stiff that I had to struggle until the very last metres of the course. All in all, a great experience and vast motivation for the future. What a day!
